Southbound Festival 2016

Southbound features leisure in the form of music and comedy acts, camping, food and market stalls as well as various activities to keep you entertained over the weekend. The festival supports environmental sustainability, having won two “A Greener Festival” awards through programs such as sustainment carbon offset fees, a ‘green team’ for rubbish collection, recycling stations and eco stalls.

Friday Night Fever

This year Southbound is giving half of the festival patrons the opportunity to get their hands on a three-day camping ticket (there will be no single day tickets for this opening night). This means you’ll get access to the site a day early to set up shop at a leisurely pace, before dancing the night away to bustling beats begins! Get fancy with the dress up theme ‘Disco Inferno’ and score yourself some prizes.

Coconut Club

Now this was massive last year! Returning with the sandy dance floor, bangin’ beats, your very own lifesaver, (tower and all), sun beds, beach umbrellas and an endless stream of spiced rum and cola to cool your jets! Keep your eyes peeled for the coconut club DJ’s lineup which will be revealed soon!

Commedia dell’ Southbound

Bringing the cool this 2016 Southbound is introducing it’s first ever Commedia dell’ Southbound. You’ve all sweated out your music loving hearts in the past and what better way to cool down than hanging under some primo shade amidst a chilled atmosphere. That’s why the ultimate shaded escape was created for all those cats looking to escape the suns rays! Kick back in the very first shaded Bigtop tent and enjoy a laidback craft beer whilst you watching an eclectic program of comedy, burlesque and circus styled performances.

TruckStop

Crafted earlier this year, Sunset Events latest concept TruckStop will be popping up at Southbound in 2016 to take care of the hungriest festival punters. With a range of delectable homegrown delights to satisfy your every taste-bud, TruckStop will offer the finest wine, food and beer, from the cream of WA’s local producers. Complete with custom retro roadhouse fit out, bespoke & upcycled furniture & décor with plenty of spaces to sit and dine, Truckstop is the ultimate destination for you. Kick back and enjoy the finest in eats & drinks, local live music & DJs in an imaginatively curated & retro setting – all thanks to the best artisans, makers, designers and creators this fine state has to offer.

Wine & Champagne Bar

The Wine and Champagne Bar is back! This time offering more shade and a larger alfresco experience with an extensive list of bubbles and vino from the South West region. The resident foodie has matched a wide variety of palatable options to deliver the perfect menu featuring produce sourced from the finest local providers. This is the place to be or for those of you looking to add a little luxe to your festival experience!

Charge Spot
